Kidge
Kidge kommt von Kitsch (jiddisch?) Mit Abscheu sehen die
typografischen Fundamentalisten solche Buchstaben.
keinen Baum, weil kitschig.
Logos.
Viel Spa wnschen typOasis und Manfred Klein ...
Kidge originates from Kitsch (Yiddish?). The german word Kitsch
means trash, rubbish, something tasteless. Such letters are disgusting
for typographic purists. (They tend to decorate their christmas tree
with nothing but geometrical trinkets - if they have one at all, because
it's Kitsch.)
I have been working on this font since 1993 and it was fun. Who
accepts Kitsch or even loves it, should try to color the letters
to fresh them up. Kidge is an absolutely inappropriate text-font,
hardly suitable for headlines, but it's the perfect font for
single characters or monograms or logos.
Enjoy!
